Introduction

Corporate Communications Unit was officially established on March 16, 2009 to replace the Corporate Affairs Division. The main role of this unit is as a reference center in the Ministry for the presentation and dissemination of information to improve the corporate image of the Ministry, to undertake public and media relations and complaint management and customer service.

Objective

  1. Provide information about the roles, policies, services and programs of the Ministry to the public through mass media and social media; and
  2. Prepare and coordinate campaigns conducted by the Ministry

Function

  1. Establish good relations between the Ministry and the media to ensure that the exchange of information is delivered smoothly and effectively
  2. Uphold the image of the Ministry through effective implementation of appropriate publicity and campaign programs;
  3. Coordinate and manage information about the Ministry and its agencies;
  4. Encourage participation and enhance consumer appreciation and understanding of Ministry’s policies and programs;
  5. Organize media conference for programs by Y.B. Minister and Y.B. Deputy Minister and all official programs of the Ministry; and
  6. Monitor, coordinate and respond to condemnations, criticisms and complaints from various parties received through mass media as well as social media.
