Introduction

Any company which intended to do manufacturing activity of optical discs is required to apply a license under Optical Discs Act 2000.

• Section 4 – License to manufacture optical discs.
  “Any person who manufactures optical discs without a valid license under this Act commits an offence.”
• Section 5 – Unlicensed premises.
  “A licensee who manufacturers optical discs in a place other than the licensed premises commits an offence.”

There are 3 categories of optical discs manufacture:

1. With content (pre-recorded);
2. Recordable; and
3. Master copy (mastering)

How to Apply

Applicant is required to fill ACO-1 form that can be obtained in nearest office counter of Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living or download the relevant documents from the following link:
